Jazelle is 8 months old!
It has not been an easy month for our princess. Just as i posted the last blog that our princess is back, she was hit by another virus and caused her to have fever. At one stage, her temperature went up to 39plus deg. We were worried but foruntately, Alicia(mother of 3) was around to assist us. Reassuring us and guiding us what to do to control the temperature. Thus , our princess was spared from the drips if she had to be admitted. However, she was not spared of the discomfort in her throat and rejected her milk.
i'm sick again!
it's painful!
Here's Tips for Dad.
1) Have a 'fever kit' at home. The kit includes, a digital thermometer, ice pack and glucose powder.
2) The fever will fluctuate as your princess's immune system is better developed and starts to fight infections effectively. However, it is not a number issue as told by the doc. What's important is to observe your princess and see if she is reacting to your calls and eat normally. Though our princess rejected milk, she continued to have her porriage and reacts to our calls. if she don't looked right to you, bring her to the doc.
3) The glucose will be useful as a supplement for energy if she continue to reject food. but it is only a short term solution. if she continue not to eat, bring her to doc.
4) The ice pack can be wrapped with a cloth and placed it below her neck so as to control her temperature.
5) All the above can be purchased from the pharmacy. And remember, do not panic.. stay calm and remember it's not just the number issue. =)
After 3 days of sleepless nights for my queen, waking up every hour to check her temperature, our princess is back once again. But as we thought she was alright, she started to have spots/rashes on her body. it's only after we were reassured by the doc that they were harmless and it will not affect the baby that we could really relax! It's called 'fake measles'! It sounds foreign to us but what matters most is that our princess is fine!
Here's her again with her trademark smile! (opps.. some say headgears!=p)
i'm back!again.
i'm so happy!
Love ya!
